In order to complement the Systems Management Midrange Team for our customer in Zürich we are looking for an experienced Storage Specialist.
Your Tasks:
- Storage system engineering and administration for EMC SAN environments
- Engineering and administration for NAS environments, mainly EMC
- Configuration and administration of SAN switches such as McData and Cisco
- Scripting (Korn shell; Perl)
- Infrastructure troubleshooting for all kinds of problems including network
- Maintenance and improvement of infrastructure (storage, monitoring, installation)
- Create and maintain documentation (mainly in English)
- Provide on-call support during non-business hours
Your Skills:
- Good knowledge of maintaining and engineering Storage and Backup
- Good knowledge in network
- In-depth engineering and administration skills in various UNIX and Linux derivates
- 3 to 5 years of experience in operations and projects
- Ability to work in a structured fashion
- Analytic and conceptual working method
- Good English language skills (writing and speaking)
- Initiative team player and communicator
- Able to cope with complex (inter-) dependencies
